We started SEO work in July. The chart moved.

Local Search

A client already had a live site. Google barely showed it. In July we started the heavy search work — titles, pages Google can actually read, and guides that match what people type. Below is Google Search Console. We did not draw this chart. Google did.

Google Search Console chart for the last 28 days: daily impressions rise through late July and August 2026 while clicks follow

This is not a new website. This is search work.

The product was already live. The domain was already theirs. What changed in July is that we treated Google like a job: match the words people type, give those pages real answers, and keep iterating from Search Console instead of a one-time checklist.

In plain English, that meant:

  • Rewriting titles and first-screen copy so they say what searchers actually type — not internal jargon
  • Publishing guides that answer the questions behind those searches
  • Making sure Google can read the pages, not just a blank app shell
  • Adjusting from real click and impression data, week by week

That is the work in our Premium SEO package. Launch SEO gets a site in the index. This is the ongoing work that makes the line move.

The client

This is VaGoldMaps — an interactive Virginia gold prospecting map. The longer ranking story is in the VaGoldMaps case study. These two charts are the part that matters for a shop owner: we started, then Google started showing the site to more people.

CTR held around 4.5–4.7% while impressions nearly doubled. That means the extra visibility is still people who want this product, not junk listings. Average position slipped a little because Google is now showing the site on more queries, including some farther down the first page.

What this means for a local business

You probably do not need a statewide map product. You need the same idea in your town: a clear site for the searches you already want, then someone who keeps working the listing, the copy, and the pages after launch.

We cannot promise the same numbers. Search moves. Competitors move. What we can show is a before-and-after on a real Google chart, with a date you can point at.
