Website design for Henrico, Richmond, Sandston, and New Kent

We work from Brad Drive in Sandston. That is eastern Henrico County. New Kent starts a few minutes east. If you run a shop, trade, farm, or restaurant on either side of that line, you do not need a downtown Richmond agency that has never been east of Laburnum. You need a site that works on a phone, tells the truth about where you are, and is easy to call.

We sit on the county line

Sandston (23150) is Henrico. Drive east on Route 60 or I-64 and you are in New Kent. Bottoms Bridge is the usual handoff. People already cross that line for lunch, hardware, and farm eggs. Search should too.

A lot of “Richmond web design” pages never name Sandston or New Kent. They treat everything east of the city as an afterthought. We live here. That is the difference.

Henrico and Sandston

Eastern Henrico is not Short Pump. Williamsburg Road, Nine Mile, Highland Springs, Sandston, Varina, the airport side. Customers search those names. A footer that only says “Richmond, VA” can confuse both people and Maps.

What we see on local sites around here:

• A template that looks like three other shops with the logo swapped
• A phone number buried under a slider
• Hours that do not match the door, or the Google listing
• Photos from a stock library instead of the actual shop
• A site that feels broken on a phone in a parking lot

Richmond

People still type “Richmond website design” even when the business is in Henrico or New Kent. That is the metro name. We build for that search without pretending we have a Shockoe Bottom loft.

If your customers really are in the city, say so. If they are in Sandston, Quinton, or Mechanicsville, say those names too. Honest service-area copy beats a fake downtown address. More on that in Local search basics for Virginia businesses.

New Kent

New Kent gets skipped. Agencies write Richmond and Henrico and stop. County shops, farms, contractors, and Route 60 businesses still need the same things: a site that loads on a phone, a Google listing that matches the site, and a human who can drive over if something breaks.

Quinton, Bottoms Bridge, Providence Forge, Lanexa. Those are real places with real customers. They should show up on your site if that is who you serve. They should not be buried in a 40-town keyword list you cannot stand behind.

Most local sites do not need 40 pages. They need a first screen that answers three things on a phone: who you are, what you do, and how to reach you.

How a project usually goes

Most of our local sites land in about one to two weeks once content and feedback are moving. You will know the scope and cost before we start. Timeline notes are in How long a website usually takes to build.

Builders like Wix are fine for a temporary page. They are a poor fit when leads matter and you do not want to babysit plugins. We wrote that up in Website builders vs hiring someone.
